Well, the months are flying by already! Good grief!
Joshua is thrilled to be over half way done with his math so far this year. For a couple of weeks while Jeff was working 16 hour day (with drive time), Josh was my right hand man. He stepped up - took his responsibility seriously and helped out tons - without being asked. Even to the point of quietly reminding the younger ones of what they needed to do and how they could help mom out a bit, too. What a treasure! I don't know what I'd do without him. Any of them really - just in different ways. I depend on Josh more than the rest - something that is hard on him sometimes, I'm sure but he bears it well. We are especially grateful for the influence our dear friend, Curtis Wyatt, is having in Joshua's life. I couldn't be more pleased with the godly role model he is being to my son and am thankful for the example he is living out for the younger boys around him. He has been such a blessing to us - as well as his sweet wife, Annie. :)
Michael is at his first Lock-In at the church tonight and just about made himself sick with anticipation over the last couple of days and especially this afternoon. He gets so excited! Silly boy! He is stretching up, up, up! He is almost as tall as Josh - short by just a very few inches. He has been taking Abby with him through his Bible study on Revelation. He loves it and she loves doing things with him. They usually are inseperable. Michael also was rewarded for keeping his room and school desk mostly clean and was allowed to get the little goldfish he's been wanting. Then dad surprised him and bought him a plecostomus as well. So, welcome to the family, Sucker and Fred.
Abby is growing up in so many ways. She is getting tall but also most of the little girl looks are gone now and she is turning into a big girl. I think the changes in her are the most obvious right now. She is hard to figure out sometimes because she is so quiet and easy going. She works hard at her school work - although it isn't really hard for her yet - and helps keep things straightened up pretty well. She wants to cook more now and just needs mom to get her head in gear and plan some things to practice with.
David is getting tall but not changed too hugely otherwise. He is learning to read and enjoys the fact that he can read simple sentences now. He still loves his toy cars, tracktors, trains, etc.. He is a social bug. He loves anyone and everyone and always has plenty of hugs or high fives to hand out at church. Everyone knows David and David knows everyone - he does remember names even better than I do! Handy - so long as I know who he's talking about!
Anna is getting taller, too. She is trying her best to catch up with the others and yet at the same time quite comfortable with who she is and where she's at. She is full of funny sayings - I can't even write them down as fast as she spouts them out! She is a hoot! She loves playing with her tea set and dollies. One of her big wishes is for a bike of her own. She has about outgrown the little Playschool car that she rides around in and all the others are up and away on their bikes. Now she wants to join them. I suppose that will have to be the next birthday gift.
Jeff is back to some slightly more sane work. He still is out very late and sometimes those strange night hours wipe him out but overall he is not working as many hours as he did in February when he was covering three jobs. We are all very glad for him to have cut back. He is looking forward to taking another class this summer - the last Hebrew class he needs to finish that requirement.
We still wonder sometimes what "the plan" is for our future but also try our best to be content with where God has us today and be faithful with what work He gives us to do today.
Well, all for now - I had hoped to put up some pictures today but found that my camera had not charged because "someone" unplugged the dock for it! Maybe in the next couple of days. :)
John 3:16-18
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." John 3:16-18

Psalm 127:3-5
"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They shall not be ashamed, When they speak with their enemies in the gate."
