Record Snow

So, the fourth snow in four months here in Texas, started sometime EARLY morning this morning. By the time we got up there was already an inch on the ground and I had 5 antsy kids aching to get out in it!
They scarfed their breakfast down and then spent at least two hours out in the white stuff. Came in for hot cocoa, lunch and enough time for mom to through their clothes in the dryer then back out for a few more hours. I finally had to make the last couple come in after Anna gave up and came in shivering. She doesn't remember Colorado snow and so this was quite the treat for her. She said - quite enthusiastically - "I prayed for this!" :) Too cute.
Josh just did a face plant like he was hugging and kissing the snow - as you can see in a couple of the pictures. Michael was thrilled to build an igloo. David helped Josh build quite the cozy little fort. They all built a huge snowman - taller than Josh, who is 5'4" now :) - and the girls made snow angels and helped haul snow. All totally enjoyed themselves and are hoping it sticks around to play in some more tomorrow. It is still snowing this evening - been going all day - so that may just happen. THIS IS CRAZY! What happened to Texas?! :)
