What is our family up too lately? Well.......
Jeff - busy being a good husband and dad as well as a pastor at DeWitt E-Free church in Iowa. Likes working in our huge garden when it's nice out. Has done tons of yard work and bravely went to a swing dance class with his wife this year...love you, Babe!
Angie - wife, mom, taxi driver...homeschooling 2 junior highers and trying to keep up with all the kids! Also, on the Women's Ministry board at our church...currently busy planning our 2nd women's retreat since being a part of DEFC.
Joshua - moved out (Eek!) and did a year at Iowa State. Moved back in for a bit and is currently working at a fancy restaurant and.....BIG NEWS....got ENGAGED this month!! A wedding is in the process of being planned for next spring. We LOVE Ariel and look forward to what God has for these two in the near future.
Michael - Is taking his first year of college online with Moody Bible Institute and plans on moving to Chicago, Lord willing, next year to finish up on campus at Moody. Michael is also busy with TaeKwonDo....learning how to kick boards and break things..haha! He also purchased his first vehicle this year so takes off on his own more often than not.
Abigail - worked at the local ice cream shop for the summer and when they closed for the season started working at a small local cafe. She is a hard worker and sees her jobs as opportunities to reach out to people with the hope of the Gospel. Abby spent a month in Colorado with the grandparents this summer and had a great time....we were relieved to get her back! haha!
David - turns 14 tomorrow!! EEK!!! David and Anna have grown the most this year...in height. David was thrilled to pass mom up in inches (I know, I know...not hard to do 😛) and is now working on pushups and other things to build his muscles. He still loves to mow the big yard we have - with the riding mower, of course - and we love letting him! David is a huge help around the house now that his older brothers aren't around as much but also needs to go out and get some guy time for that same reason.
Anna - I think Anna has double in height since this time last year! Talk about stretching up and up and up!!! Anna loves hanging out with her friends as well as doing things with Abby. She loves all things small and furry and was thrilled when our "barn" cat had kittens this summer. The kittens are the sweetest, tamest things I've ever seen thanks to all the attention she pours out to them. Anna joined the junior high youth group this year with was a big step for....mom. Ya, growing up too fast!
We all love it here in Iowa. The only thing any of us would have different is to be closer to dear family and friends who are now quite far away.
So - there's a quick recap to catch y'all up! Let us know how you are sometime!
