This sweet cup I found on my "day out" for my 42nd birthday. Jeff let me take an afternoon to just get away and I wandered around a local antique shop. I paid just $3 for this cup! I know this is probably me just dreaming but I have a feeling it is worth more. I didn't realize it at the time but it has a unique stamp on the bottom of the saucer. It is also handpainted.....and signed. Whether or not it is worth more it is worth much to me. I had had a particularly difficult week before I found this cup and it just made me happy. Now, I realize that THINGS can not really make us happy BUT I also think that sometimes a simple thing can bring pleasure and enjoyment and so long as we do not become overly caught up in that there is nothing wrong with finding enjoyment in beautiful things. This little cup cheered me up and every time I use it I enjoy it. I am thankful that God is the giver of all good things....even the ability to enjoy something as simple as a pretty cup.
John 3:16-18
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son." John 3:16-18

Psalm 127:3-5
"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They shall not be ashamed, When they speak with their enemies in the gate."
