Eek!!! When did that happen? I'm sure it was just barely November the other day! :) Well, guess I'd better get myself in gear and get some things done....FAST!!
So, yesterday - since Jeff was off most of the day - we put the tree up and the ornaments on. We got some tinsel on sale last year so pulled that out. I was telling the kids they would have to not get next to the tree or the tinsel would stick to them. They don't remember the few other times we had the stuff! So, in an effort to keep it picked up Jeff gave the job of "Tinsel Picker-Upper" to Anna - made it sound like such a privilege and a game (tricky!). So Anna has been running around today snatching the stuff up as it sticks to the cat and putting it back on the tree! She has several different names for it - "Fizzle!" "Tinkle!" (Oh ya, that one we tried to end right away!), "Tizzle!" She's so funny!
Last evening it started raining and was sooo cold out. We went to bed and listened to the rain...the kids prayed for snow. :) Well, this morning we all woke up to big wet snowflakes falling and enough on the ground to cover the grass! Can you imagine the excitement around here??!! I bet not quite!! :)
They all went out to play in the snow and are hoping it will snow again this weekend. It is forecasted for tomorrow and Friday - we'll see! It sure was wet - they were soaking when they gave up and came in. Hot cocoa fixed them right up!
