The Day After

Everyone around here is sleepy and sluggish today. Too much partying last night!
We went to the Rangers ballgame and then watched the fireworks at the ballpark after the game. Everyone decided we should go all the time as the Rangers have won both times we were there! And since they aren't the greatest team - maybe that would be a good thing! :)
The kids all had fun. We took our hot dogs - wrapped in foil - chips, bottled water and peanuts along with us. Aunt Becky brought the cookies and crackers - with raspberry chipolte/cream cheese dip, YUM! It sure gets expensive feeding that many little people otherwise. I am thankful that they still let you bring food in. Makes it so much easier for families.
Before the game began there was a group of Air Force folks that were sworn in right there on the field! That was pretty neat! Then a B-52 bomber flew over. Josh has read up on several different planes and so he was telling us all about it. That was a fun way to spend the fourth.
The Rangers pretty much shut the LAA down pretty quickly. There were a lot of people this time - seems to be a popular 4th of July pastime!
After the game they do a big fireworks show with music. They shut off all the stadium lights and let 'er rip! It was pretty neat. The kids had fun - David and Anna a little unsure at first but even they enjoyed it quite a bit after the first initial fright. :)
I would upload pictures but the camera got left in the van - which is back at the shop again today. Hopefully, Jeff will remember to get it before he heads home tonight! Hopefully, the van will be easily and quickly fixed! I wish it wouldn't do this right before I leave for Colorado! But it seems to be something every time! Well, it hasn't stopped me yet!
We hope ya'll had a very nice Independance Day.
We are so thankful to all the men and women who have worked and sacrificed so much for our freedom!
I will edit this post and add some pictures as soon as I get the camera back!

Psalm 127:3-5

"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They shall not be ashamed, When they speak with their enemies in the gate."
