Well, it's been awhile! I have missed posting here but have also not been able to think what to post lately! Brain freeze!
The past few weeks were very busy ones for all of us - but lots of fun as well.
First my parents came to visit. Dad had surgery on his shoulder - which ended up being more of a big deal than they thought it would be, no going back to work for 4 months! We appreciate your prayers for them as they trust the Lord to continue to provide for their needs thru this time, knowing that this was not a surprise to Him!
Anyway, they came here for the first two weeks of dad's recovery. That was fun - of course, I didn't have to take the staples out of his shoulder! That was Becky's job - sure is handy having a nurse in the family!
Next Glenn, Val and Sophia came. Glenn only got to stay a couple of days but it sure was nice to see him, too. Val and Sophia stayed for another week or so. My niece is so cute and growing fast! She is becoming a bit of a jabber box. :)
The boys had fun with Grandpa - they went to Cabella's twice to see the fish in those HUGE tanks get fed. Sort of a strange way to have fun but....! My mom has been teaching the kids' sience class, as you may have read about in an earlier post, so she had prepared a class to do while she was here. The kids had fun actually having the teacher here! :) Plus they got to make a cool craft. :)
After my family left, Jeff's mom came to visit for the next week. That was nice. The kids each got a turn to go on a walk - just one at a time - with her in the mornings. They thought that was really neat. By the time she got here it was getting pretty hot so we were trying to think of something indoors to do. We ended up finding out that the new Dr. Seuss movie was still playing in NRH so we went to see it one day. The kids had a blast - not too often we go to the theater all together! This one was at least half the price - I suppose just because it is no longer a "new" movie. Anyway, that was lots of fun.
We also played several board games, which we love doing, the kids got to have Grandma help them with their piano playing and they got to show her all their songs from choir.
So - we enjoyed all of our company very much and are so grateful that they took the time and effort to come visit us.
