We have a class every other week with some of our home schooling neighbors. This year we are studying the Westward Expansion of the USA. The kids enjoy getting together with other kids as well as all the fun things the moms think up for them to learn and do.
These are a few pictures of our class last week. For part of our studies we have planted a mini garden and also help care for our neighbors chickens as part of our "experiencing pioneer days" aspect of the class. Josh and Abby had their names drawn for "chores" this last week. So, Abby watered the garden and Josh cleaned the hen house. Josh remembers our chickens and totally enjoyed it. One of the hens laid an egg while we were there so he had the added thrill of collecting it. :)
