September!

Well, another month flew by and now we get ready for September.
We have two "new" pronunciations for last month:
Michael - "Physical Addiction" for his new Physical Education class. Figured we should work on the correct pronunciation of that one first in order to save anyone any confusion! :)
David - "Pie-Pie the sailor man!" So much for spinach! :)

Yesterday we enjoyed a BBQ dinner at the church and a concert by a group called This Hope. They are five guys and very good. David liked the A Capella songs. He is my little rhythm boy.

Today is nice a cool out - for Texas. We have a bunch of the windows opened to let as much fresh air in as possible. The kids are outside enjoying it while it lasts and the kitty is prowling around the yard in spite of the heavy dew on the grass. She likes to act like a big tough cat once in awhile.

While Josh was sitting outside earlier this morning he saw a hummingbird come to my little purple flowers! I saw one at my sister's house last week. That was the first hummingbird I had seen in Texas and Josh's was the first anyone has seen here at our house. We had figured they weren't here much due to all the new development and that it was just a matter of time before they found the new food route! Well, seems they found us! YEA! I have missed all my hummers that we had in Parachute. But, we have had lots of doves here and I love them, too. So, that has been nice.

A couple more highlights of this month so far - Jeff's birthday - 35! - is in two more days and our dear friend, Mark, is coming our way and will stay a day and a half with us next week. Fun, fun!

Well, we hope ya'll have a nice relaxing holiday. Jeff was off yesterday and is off today and tomorrow as well! Woo-hoo! So, we plan on enjoying that a lot.

Psalm 127:3-5

"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They shall not be ashamed, When they speak with their enemies in the gate."
