Pre-Christmas Fun

So, since things are a bit tight this year and gifts may be few (a good opportunity for remembering a couple of things..1) THE greatest gift...Jesus and 2) the fact that people are more important than things...we are thankful to have each other!) we decided to enjoy a few of the fun things in our area that just happen to be free and great family fun!!
Tonight Jeff called and told me there was fun going on in the square...Southlake Town Square where he works...so 4 of the kids and I packed up and went.
There were crafts, kettle corn, hot cocoa, choirs and Christmas music, a clown, balloons, "sleigh" rides....aka..carriage rides, cookie decorating, a tubing hill, snowman building (mini slushy type ice men) and the annual turning on of the giant tree! Oh and SNOW......ok...fake stuff but the kids thought it was neat anyways! :) What fun!!  The only way it could have been better would have been to have Jeff and Josh with us......they both had to work tonight. We stopped and saw them and Josh was nice and let his mom get this shot. :) Thanks Josh!

Decorating cookies...how much frosting can you put on 1 cookie?!?

The bright white specks are the "snow". The kids
thought it was loads of fun that it was snowing!

Pretty, festive fountain - goofy kids.

                                                        Rudolph the jingle nose....

                                                                       Sleigh Rides
This was "our" horse, Gunsmoke...the only horse with sleigh bells! :)

This one was actually pre-carriage ride....waiting in the cold for 1 hour!
But they said it was worth it. :)

Psalm 127:3-5

"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They shall not be ashamed, When they speak with their enemies in the gate."
