Rainy Day

Well, it seems like monsoon season around here! Yesterday we had tons of rain, lots of big thunder and hail! It was really chilly there for a bit. The kids thought the hail was neat - almost snow! Josh said he was hoping there would be enough, when it was all done, to make a ball - you know, mom, sort of like a snow ball. :)

Abby is spending the night tonight with a friend. Her first overnight - other than at Grandpa and Grandma's. My sister, Val, got married in January and her husband, Glenn, has a niece Abby's age. They have become fast friends. That is neat. Abby was pretty excited to go - so much that the last three hours was spent pacing and watching the clock. She told me, "Mom, Michael says the time goes faster if you don't watch the clock." So, off she went to play at that point and sure enough! Pretty soon it was time to go.

Jeff went for his interview at Brio's. It is a very nice restaurant. He got the job and so will start training the first part of June. The menu sure looks yummy! At bit pricey, too, but very good.

Jeff also got all of his grades back for last semester. He has a 3.99 GPA and was surprised with an A+ for a class he was hoping he could get an A for. It was a tough class so it was fun for him to get such a good grade.

Val and Glenn will be moving here in July so the kids are getting anxious to see them. It will be fun to have both aunties close! And an uncle as well!

Well, all for today. We hope you all are having a very nice summer so far and that you are continuing to see God's hand in your lives.

Psalm 127:3-5

"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They shall not be ashamed, When they speak with their enemies in the gate."
