The Lord told Noah to build him an arky, arky...

Yes, sometimes we wonder if we should get one going! :)
It has been raining since last night. It rains pretty steadily and then pours buckets of rain every once inawhile. I came in from the car this afternoon and got soaked just getting from the car to the front door! It turned pretty chilly out, too - much to my children's disappointment - they wanted to go out and play in the rain. Mom had to go and spoil that fun - stating there were enough sick people around here already and she didn't want any more right now and was just sure that getting soaked in cold rain wasn't going to help anyone stay healthy! Bummer!
We have all enjoyed having Jeff around the house a bit more this week - he's on spring break. Even though he must be in his office working he is still here more than usual. That makes it feel like a vacation - no wonder no-one wants to do school!
I let them do their work wherever they wanted to - on the floor, in their bed, on the beanbags...that seemed to be more what was needed today - not quite so much structure. I love that about homeschooling - I can adjust to the kids once in awhile. And really what is so bad about doing your math on the floor - stretched out and comfy - instead of sitting up at your desk?

Psalm 127:3-5

"Behold, children are a gift of the Lord; the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, So are the children of one's youth. How blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them; They shall not be ashamed, When they speak with their enemies in the gate."
